Shopping Haul!

So I’m back with a MASSSIIIVVVEEE shopping haul, yes I may have spent a little too much yesterday, but I am very happy with all my purchases.

There’s quite a mix in there, I went a bit crazy in Primark’s beauty section, and clothes to be fair, but there’s also makeup from Benefit and some other bits and bobs, so enjoy!

I mainly went into town to buy myself some new high waisted shorts, I only have one pair at the moment and I wear them constantly with leggings or tights in the winter and nothing in the summer. They were from Primark originally so that’s why I decided to go there to get some new ones. I really like high waisted shorts as I find they are not too short around the bum area and I like tucking T-shirts into them to achieve a cute, poppy look.

These were the first pair I spied, I liked the little belt round the top with stars punched through it and I also liked the darker denim with lighter patches on the thigh. These were a bargain in the sale at a fiver!

These were the second pair I picked up, (sorry for the line on the photo, silly WordPress!) These are a lighter coloured denim and I thought for £15 for two pairs of shorts I’d just buy both. I like these ones because they just seem a little more summery to me.

Still in the clothes section of Primark, I then found a beautiful top that I decided I just had to have!

I really like this top, it comes down just to your hips and with a high neck means you can get away with not wearing anything underneath, or just a little crop top maybe, which is good because the back is then a scoop fastened with a small silver button at the top. I thought this would be perfect for summer, with jeans or even my new shorts, why not bring back the double denim!

I also think it would be easy to layer for those cooler evenings and the winter months, just throw on a cute, over sized cardigan and go!

I then just grabbed some more little camisoles to put under things, I love these for layering, or just on there own in summer, but mostly I wear these under things and layer them up. Again for £2 these are brilliant!

My next item I picked up in Primark was a beautiful bag. I’d been in a very expensive shop with my mum the other day and seen a gorgeous pastel pink handbag and kind of fell in love with it, however as it was still stupidly expensive even in the sale I left it. Then on going into Primark, I saw this lovely bag that looks a lot like it and for £9 I grabbed it!

I really like this handbag, I wanted one with shorter straps and I found it, but it also comes with a longer strap that just clips onto the sides which I thought was good too. I feels pretty sturdy and is a good size and shape for all your handbag bits and pieces! Will certainly be using this in the near future!

It also has studs on the bottom to deter wear and tear, brilliant!

Next in Primark I stumbled into there beauty range. Now I never though Primark would be that good at beauty but at the moment I am thoroughly impressed! First up….

Now, it’s out the packaging because I have already used this, and am loving it! It’s annoying that they don’t have colours on them, but this one is like a pale pink nude and it looks lovely! Really like it, and for £1.50, bargain is an understatement!

2 pack of Eye liner pencils with a pencil sharpener, Primark, £1

There’s only one in the packet, by the way, because I gave one to my mum! These I haven’t properly tried yet, but they’ve been recommended to me, so I’ll give them a go, again for £1 for two eye liners, you can’t go far wrong!

Packs of 'Fashion Nails' 24 nails with adhesive, Primark, £1

So I went a little crazy with the next item, but I do really love doing my nails and I saw a girl in my class wearing some of these and they looked really good, and really natural and she said they stayed on a long time and highly recommended them so, yeah! I got some just glossy pale bluey/green ones, some blue flowery ones, some red pop art ones and some kitty cat ones! £1 each!

Assorted hair bands, Primark, £1 each

Then I just got some more of the ever disappearing hair bands, including some no snag elastics which I think are really good for doing little braids, or anything where you just need a smaller hair band, so I got three different packs!

Classic Carmex, Primark, £2

I can not recommend this stuff highly enough, I don’t know why it isn’t more popular and when I saw they had it in Primark I literally squealed with excitement! Carmex, if you can’t already tell is a lip balm, and it’s amazing! It soothes, moisturises and it’s simply lovely. I have one by my bed permanently but it’s running low so I grabbed another. They also had strawberry and mint flavour but I decided to stick to the classic one, just because I don’t always like a strong flavour lip balm.

And that’s it for Primark! Woo! Finally, I hear you cry! Next I went to Benefit, to pick up some concealers. I’ve tried so many different concealers to hide my horrible dark patches under my eyes, but I do think Benefit have it down. The first one I bought was one I’ve had before and loved, but couldn’t buy it again until because I simply couldn’t afford it.

Erase Paste, Benefit, £19.50

Now it may look small, but trust me you do NOT need a lot and this means it last forever! It’s perfect for under your eyes and the odd blemish or two! It comes with a handy little spatula for getting it out the pot and if you’ve got a bit more cash to spare I would highly recommend this product.

Boi-ing concealer, Benefit, £17.50

Next this is Boi-ing and after borrowing my mum’s for the past week I decided to buy one myself finally! This claims to be more of an ‘industrial strength concealer’ for hiding circles, discoloration and shadows. Again this lasts a long time and to apply, simply pat it on the areas to conceal and pat to blend, likewise with Erase Paste.

And that’s it! Finished! That was my shopping haul! I hope you’ve enjoyed this post, it’s taken me a while, but I knew you deserved a longer blog post as I’ve been somewhat AWOL for a while!

Please let me know what you think of this post and the things in it, don’t forget to follow and like too! Thanks!

Till the next time,

Lucy xxx
